This level uses everything from the earlier levels.
What you’ll do
- Analyse Coptic liturgical texts for their grammar, as in Level 5.
- Study each text as literature, looking at its biblical, spiritual, patristic and doctrinal background. This is the main aim of Level 6.
- Translate a text from Arabic into Coptic and give it a title. You hand in the translation on the day of the Level 6 exam.
The handout includes a worked example of how to study a text, and lessons on building and linking sentences to help with the translation.
